Question of the week: What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?

I guess if I had to choose a book that influenced my life I would say:

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
I read it in the third grade because my teacher said she thought I would like it - I loved it and have been an avid reader  ever since.

I didn't think of that ... in that case, maybe I should have picked something like the Lone Wolf series which made me a fan of the Fantasy genre. LOL.

This will probably come of something as a surprise but the book that changed/influenced my life (more than any other) is a non-fiction book. I know we all focus on novels and the fanciful fiction we love to read but The Four Work Week is the book that gets all the credit. I know the title sounds fictional but it really isn’t. Hop over to my blog and find out why – http://www.howardsherman.net

Happy Book Blogger Hop Day!

Thank you for stopping by, I am a new follower. I would have to say the Black Beauty is also one of the very books that also changed my life. I picked it up at the bookmobile in the small town I grea up in. Most people problably may not even remember that library on wheels.
I look forward to your reviews.
Thanks,

I loved this book, and I have to admit I loved that cheesy tv show of the same name which was on in the late 80s. :) Thanks for hopping by my blog! I hope you keep coming by!

Visiting from Book Blogger Hop! Black Beauty is an awesome book. I remember reading it with my mom when I was little...such good memories =) It's amazing how something you read so long ago has such an impact.

Happy HOP! DO you know I don't think I've ever read black beauty. I might have to remedy that. Thanks for coming by!

Hello,

I Love your choice of Black Beauty for this question. I have my Mom's copy of black beauty and it always reminds me of her reading it to me when I was little. Really good pick (a classic in my opinion). I also love the name of your blog.

Cheers!!!

Oh, I loved this novel! I was pretty young when I read Black Beauty. It definitely contributed to my love of reading.
