Please welcome Sherry Soule for an interview!
? When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I’ve had an obsession with the written word since I held my first book in my hands at age seven. I seriously can’t imagine not being a writer…
? How many jobs did you have before you became a writer?
Five. Hairstylist, General Manager for a gym, Online ePublisher, Insurance Coordinator, Editor. Currently unemployed. I was laid off from my last day job about two years ago. (So, hopefully my writing career takes off!)

? How long does it take you to write a book?
About 6 months.
? What would you say is your most interesting writing quirk?
Listening to scary sound effects or spooky music while writing a suspenseful scene.
? Do you have a routine that you use to get into the right frame of mind to write?
Not really. Some days I just wake up and can’t wait to start writing. Other days…not so much.

? Where do you get your ideas or inspiration for your characters?
Everywhere—books, movies, TV, dreams.
? How do you decide what you want to write about?
I am drawn to the supernatural. But I also love romance. So I combine the two.
? What books have most influenced your life?
Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire.
? What do you like to do when you are not writing?
Nap? Seriously, I love to go to the movies. And I really enjoy just stating home and watching a scary movie with my family.

? What is your favorite comfort food?
Cupcakes.
? What do you think makes a good story?
Voice, suspense, romance that unfolds as the story progresses.
? Who would you consider your favorite author and why?
Huh. Hard question. I have a lot of favorite authors. Nancy Holder is one fav. She wrote a bunch of great Buffy books.

? What book, if any, do you read over and over again?
I have read Flowers in the Attic by the late, V. C. Andrews more than any other book.

? Dogs or cats?  Cats rule!

? Coffee or tea?  Iced Coffee

?  Dark or milk chocolate?  Milk

?  Rocks or flowers?  Daisies—flowers

? Night or day?  Night person. Totally.

? Favorite color?  Black. Turquoise. Red.

? Crayons or markers?  Crayons

? Pens or pencils?  Pens

Beautifully Broken:
Thirteenth Daughter. Heritage Witch. Demon Slayer.

They say every town has its secrets, but that doesn’t even begin to describe Whispering Pines. The townsfolk are a superstitious lot and the mystical disappearance of a local teen has everyone murmuring about a centuries old witch’s curse.
Sixteen-year-old Shiloh Ravenwolf is a heritage witch from the Broussard family, a family both destined and cursed. When she takes a summer job at Ravenhurst Manor, she discovers a ghost with an agenda. That’s where she meets the new town hottie, Trent Donovan, and immediately becomes spellbound by his charms. Yet she is determined to discover the connection between them.
Finally, Shiloh's met someone who is supercute and totally into her, but Trent may be the next victim on the supernatural hit list. And Shiloh is the only person with the power to save him. Complicated much?
It sucks to have a destiny, especially since Shiloh would rather spend her summer being a normal girl who worries about clothes and boys, not the supernatural. But she’s never been normal, and the stranger things become the more her own magical senses awaken.
With cryptic messages from a pesky wraith, she will begin to understand the mysterious significance of the strange mark branded on her wrist and decide how much she's willing to sacrifice to protect the other teenagers in town.
Unfortunately, for Shiloh, not all ghosts want help crossing over. Some want vengeance.
Thanks for stopping by The Wormhole!
Happy Reading!

Great Interview!! Cats DO Rule!! LOL...How many do you have, Sherry.
I'm in a situation similar to yours..Laid off from my well-paying job in Nov 2008...worked at a low-pay PT job for about a year after that (it was actually costing me money to work)...decided to retire early. So here I am blogging and reviewing and pretty happy. Hahah!!
Our cats sure love the extra attention!
I'm sure I'm several decades older than you so I really hope you can make a decent income as a writer! I need to feed my reading addiction!
