My thoughts:
WOW!  I could hardly wait for this book to be published - the first book ended screaming for book two, okay...it ended with ME screaming for book two.

This second installment of the series is as good as the first - leaves the reader once again screaming for the next book in the series.

The rollercoaster race of emotions continues in this book, if possible it actually gains momentum.  I found myself reading faster and faster so I could get to the part where they love and trust each other and all is well, and then - the end!   I am sure I will barely survive as I await the final book in this trilogy.  To readers, I say, "DO NOT miss out on this amazing trilogy."and to the author, I say, "Write FASTER! Please!"

My thoughts:
This is a sit down and read it to the end book.  You don't want to start this one until you have a block of time.  The words fly by as you lose yourself in this wonderfully written tale of love, betrayal, fear, and hope.
The characters are fantastic.  They are realistic, flawed and oh so perfect.  I fell in love with them all.  My heart both broke and soared as I got to know Coltan and Rylee and learned of the tattered lives of the boys.  The emotions in this book are relentless - laughter and tears combine as the story unfolds.  
The story is as fast as the cars and before you know it, you find yourself wrapped in their world.  The storyline takes curves like you are in Colton's car and suddenly before you are ready to let go of it - the checkered flag waves and it's the end, leaving you wanting more and waiting for the next book.

Angela McCallister has always wanted to grow up to be someone who would never grow up, and lucky her, that’s exactly what she’s done. Nothing says adventurous more than being a career US Navy Sailor with an imagination wild enough to create stories and characters with a paranormal bite. A mother of five, she’s gained plenty of story ideas from her family as well as her military experience.

 Angela is very laid-back and happy to try just about anything once, from skydiving, sailing, slacklining, Aikido, and even hang-gliding--as long as she doesn't have to subject anyone to her "singing" or make an appearance in a bikini. Like all authors, she's crazy for books, especially Romance, and will talk about them for days. She's currently stationed at Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu in California where she can be spoiled with some of the best weather in the country. My thoughts:
I was thrilled to have another Angela McCallister book to read.  I truly enjoyed the first book, Bad Mouth (see below for link), and was pleased that I enjoyed this one just as much or more.  

Angela has built a host of fantastic characters.  These are the kind of characters that draw you into the story at the start, hold on tight through the middle and by the end have buried you so deep in their world that you have all but forgotten that they aren't real people that you know and care about.

The world she has created for these characters is well thought out, cleverly constructed and believable.  The story is fast paced, intriguing and entertaining.  Couldn't put it down.

My Thoughts:
Truly enjoyed this book.  The characters are incredible.  The writing is wonderful.  It is violent, emotional, heart-wrenching and gripping.  I was on the edge of my seat and holding my breath as the pages flew by. An absolute must read.

My thoughts:
Holy Wow!  I truly enjoyed this book.  
The characters - all of them - are wonderfully created and the story is excellent.  Roland is fantastic.  Sarah is expertly designed as the heroine.  The relationship between Roland and Sarah develops quickly, but not disturbingly so, and their relationship allows many elements of the story to be brought out and utilized. And although there are those "Really!" moments in the book, I found their love and devotion sweet and refreshing.
My favorite feature of the story is the closeness of the immortals.  The way they all work together and support each other.  I struggle to find a favorite character, and must conclude that I like so many of them there can be no clear cut favorite.  I found the cat endearing, but an odd addition. I had wondered if perhaps there would be something used from that situation later, but not yet. 
I found the immortal/vampire theme to be original and intriguing, the human "seconds" to be a nice touch. I thought the organic food issue was a great add.  
The story is fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Each of the characters seems to be on their own personal emotional roller coaster and the reader is front row.  Larger than life characters, battles, and feelings. 

I am solidly hooked and can't wait to get started on the next book in the series.
