500 - page Challenge!

Paula at Tome's Devotee is having a 500-page challenge!  This is what she says:

"Now for the challenge. I hope to have a lot more followers eventually
so that these challenges will become fun, but for now I will be reading
a book with more than 500 pgs in May. Dragonfly in Amber is book
2 in the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Book 1 touched me so
very much, that I am looking foward to the next. I didn't get to it in
April, I know I won't be able to get through it by the 30th, so I
am making it my May Challenge. If you stumble onto this and would
like to join just link back to this post so others can join too, pick a
book that's 500 pgs or more and tell me what you're reading.
Feel free to copy the image to post on your blog if you'd like as well ; )"

I have not chosen my book yet - but I will be blogging about it here when I do!

Quickie Thanks - Check out She Is Too Fond of Books!

I wanted to take a quick second out of the Friday hop and say thanks to:
Whitney at She Is Too Fond of Books and
Kavyen at Reading Between the Pages
for mentioning my blog on their Hop posts!  So...take a moment and go check out their blogs, they are great!

Super great contest going on! (Green with envy about the Romantic Times Convention)

Aine at Aine's Realm is having a most incredible contest!  First I have to say that (like it says in the title of this post) I am absolutely green with envy!  She is attending the Romantic Times Book Lovers Convention in Ohio and will have the opportunity to meet many, many authors!  So, Aine - enjoy!
Okay - back to the contest: she is giving away 7 signed books, and they're great ones!  You can click on the link to get there but I wanted you to get the list right away!  Wicked Lovely, The Summoning, My Soul to Take, Valiant, Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace, City of Bones, and The Vampire Academy.

It's Friday! Let's Hop!!!

Happy Friday!  Can't wait to start hopping!
(Sorry there is no pic today - I am at someone else's computer and the right mouse button is disabled.)

W...W...W...Wednesdays

Should be Reading has started W...W...W... Wednesdays!

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions!…

What are you currently reading?

I have started Heartless by Anne Elisabeth Stengl - as you know if you have been following my blog for a while - I planned to start this days ago - and made it to page 4 before I switched and was reading from the Kindle.  So, now that I have finished Exposure, I am going back to Heartless!

What have you just finished reading?
Exposure by Brandilyn Collins
Amazon product description:  I picked it solely because it started with an "E" and I am participating in the "Read Your Name" Challenge, so I needed an E.
I am ever so glad that I did!!!
Someone is watching Kaycee Raye. But who will believe her? In Kaycee's newspaper column she's known for writing of her paranoia and fears. Is the new danger real---or is she going crazy? In this story of terror, twists, and desperate faith, the startling questions pile high. But Kaycee's descent to answers proves even more frightening.

Review format: Why did I pick it up/What did I like about it/What did I not like about it.

I read this one on the Kindle.

I loved the twist and intrigue.  I wasn't sure at first if I liked the characters, but they were drawing emotion from me regardless of my opinion of them.   My favorite part of this story? The fact that I was totally surprised by the twists!  I am very rarely completely shocked when a story twists, but this one was totally unexpected.  Great read!

The only thing I didn't like about the story was that I found myself wanting to shake the mom.  Serioiusly?  What was she thinking sometimes!  I can't tell you the story, without telling you the story - - so you will HAVE to read this!!!

What do you plan to read next?
Heaven help me - I am planning to read a "real" book and an "e-book" - we will see how it plays out for me.  I have yet to finish and Falling, fly and I must read Changeless before I have to re-read Soulless to remember all the details.  If I am to get any of my challenges done I have to start taking turns I guess.  Wish me luck!
